Wondros partnered with Fullscreen and AT&T to create a visual EP (extended play record) and docu-series for the YouTube-famous folk-pop act Us the Duo. The band — a husband and wife duo — asked their 10 million social media followers to send in personal stories that could be turned into original songs. They received hundreds of real stories from ordinary people who have faced extraordinary challenges. The band selected five of the most compelling submissions, and created Public Record, which was released in late 2016 as part of AT&T’s Hello Lab Initiative with Fullscreen.

Wondros translated these stories to film, creating a cohesive slate of content that included four music videos, five short documentaries, and a project trailer. Each music video began with a short excerpt from Us the Duo’s conversation with the fan who became the subject of the story.

The project — from the band’s songwriting to our visual storytelling — was an experiment in bridging the gap between reality and art, fan and artist. Our creative team was lead by Wondros director Ellis Bahl and executive producer Dilly Gent, and also included in-house talent from our roster of writers, producers, and designers.
